Xavier is a really sensitive boy who suffers from severe social anxiety. He's very shy and cries quite easily so I wanted to incorporate that in the painting. Xavier is really quiet so people bother him a lot about him being shy and that's the reason he gets along so well with Spencer. Spencer doesn't expect Xavier to talk a lot and he still seems to have fun with Xavier because he listens to Spencer
I thought making the painting sparkle would be appropriate for Xavier's painting because he's fragile but also really pretty. I used diamond stickers for his freckles and made his tears shimmery by adding glittery glue to the tears. I also ended up putting glitter on the bubbles and on the roots of his hair.
I had a bit of trouble getting his facial expression right and also the hair wasn't puffy enough, but otherwise the painting looked good. 
The hardest part was drawing his hand, since I really don't know how to draw them. I kind of regret trying to draw Xavier in this pose.
